Bridesmaid Proposal Brunch
This past Saturday I celebrated one of my college best friend's as she celebrated us (her closest friends and now bridesmaids) with a special bridesmaid brunch at Madeline Garden Bistro and Venue in Pasadena! The moment I found out Elena got engaged I actually teared up, it was a very happy moment for me because not only does she deserve to share the rest of her life with someone who treats and sees her as the queen that she is but I have seen her grow as a woman and kiss the frog to get her prince (I love her fiancé, he truly is a great fit to the definition of prince charming).
Being asked to be a bridesmaid is an honor, so I was ecstatic when she asked me to be part of her "I Do Crew". Elena couldn't have asked in a more classier way than over a high tea brunch (one of our favorite activities) with champagne and a boxed bridesmaid proposal filled with the cutest trinkets: a framed picture with her and each bridesmaid, a bottle opener with the word love engraved, a fortune cookie (her husband-to-be in Thai :) , confetti to celebrate during her bachelorette weekend (or perhaps while we are in Thailand for the wedding!), a champagne glass with the word cheers, a delicious scented candle, AND a personal bottle of rosé champagne! Our beautiful bride pulled out the works for us (and we will only do the same for her!).
This is my first time being a bridesmaid (I was once a junior bridesmaid when I was like 9) and I am overjoyed that my first time being a bridesmaid is with the person I have been calling wife since 2009 (fun fact: we would always call each other wife in college because guys would always approach us and I usually was never interested in them and she had a boyfriend so we were always each others designated girlfriend but when you're best friends you upgrade the girlfriend title and call each other wife).
Now it's time to plan, plan, plan and get into tip top shape for wedding operation #PutASingOnIt in Thaliand January 2017! Have any of you ever been a bridesmaid, what is your favorite memory?
